A good cut has a half-life. We schedule around it.
Every cut starts out looking like a haircut and ends up looking like hair. The gap between those two days is the only number worth arguing about, and it is not the same for a skin fade as it is for a scissor crop. Work out yours, then take the slot that matches it.

This is a calculator built to sell fewer haircuts. Half the answers it gives tell you to stay away longer, and one of them tells you not to take a standing slot at all.
The cut you wear
How fast it grows
Nobody's hair reads a calendar. These are the weeks where the shape stops holding, not the weeks where it starts looking bad, and a fortnight either side of them is normal. If it still looks right on the day, skip it.
Cadence
The ring is twelve weeks. The red is your interval, and the tick it lands on is the slot we would write in the book.

No colour, no perms, no packages, no membership. If you want any of those we will tell you where to go, and we mean that kindly.
Cut
Clipper or scissor, whichever the head wants. Finished with a hot towel and a neck shave.

The standing slot
Held, not booked.
A standing slot is the same weekday at the same time, written into the book for the rest of the year at the interval the advisor gave you. You stop deciding, and we stop chasing.
If you are the sort of person who books when you happen to notice in the mirror, this is not for you. That is a perfectly good way to get a haircut and the third chair is kept for exactly that.
The slot is yours until you drop it
Same weekday, same time, every few weeks. Say the word at the chair and it ends there. No email, no notice period, no cancellation screen.
Skipping is free and expected
Tell us by closing the night before and the slot stays yours. We would rather have an empty chair than cut hair that did not need cutting.
Two missed without a word and it goes back
Not a penalty. It is the only fair way to hold a Friday at five when someone else is asking for it.
No deposit, no card on file, no app
You pay on the day like everyone else. The book is a book.
You can hand it to somebody
Away for a month, send whoever you like in your place. The slot does not care whose head is in it.
